Klaus Dittrich, Messe Muenchen Managing Director, opened the semiconductor CEO forum with a green theme. And there was plenty of green to be seen in the halls: bicycles and plants. LED lighting and posters about solar panels and energy efficiency proliferated.
This is a big show, no doubt about that, but not as big as 2006 in visitor numbers – down from 78,000 to 72 or 73,000. – and they were spread over a couple of extra halls with the addition of an new event within the event, Hybridica.
What will it look like in Munich two years from now? We’ll know more about that in a year, or maybe two.
